Conditions with multiple rules appear several times when ordered by rule fieldAsked by BBIE on April 29, 2014 at 06:58 AM
We have some problems with our forms (probably some mistake on our side...) and while trying to find the bug, I saw that rules are copied several times (see attachment). I tried first to delet some of them, and this gave really unpredictable results. Seems other conditions have been deleted than the one displayed.
Fortunately we now can revert to an earlier version.
But in the meanwhile, this duplication of rules is a serious problem. Or must I not use the select feature for the time being...?
Can you share to us which form you were having this issue and how you were able to reproduce the bug? When using the revision tool does it revert to an earlier version were the form and condition is working?
I'm unable to reproduce the issue I tried adding a condition then reverting the form to an earlier version but I don't see any duplication in my condition. Can you help me reproduce the issue so we can submit a bug report once we have identified the cause.
Here is the form where it happens. http://form.jotformpro.com/form/40622655243955
In fact, it happens on all active forms. If you go to conditions and select "show conditions for..." (for instance Benelux Trademark, this happens...
I tried it with 3 browsers (on the same network/machine) (firefos, IE and Chrome) and on Mac oS Safari on another machine. All 3 give the same problem.
The Mac is connected through Wifi, and the other machine is wired. They are however all connecting through the same firewall...
However if I connect the mac through personal hotspot to my telephone, I use 4G connection (completely outside our own environment), and I have exactly the same results.
I think I already had this problem in the past, but do not remember what it was exactly related to.
To be clear, the condition is working... but it is very difficult to isolate another problem...
So when deleting one of the dubble conditions, I think another one was affected than the one I meant.
And after restoring an older version, the last problem caused by the deletion was solved, but the conditions still appear 2 or 3 times.
Thanks for reporting. I was able to reproduce the problem. I'm not exactly sure if this is how it suppose to be but let me forward this to our developers so they can provide their thoughts. I think repeating the conditions is a bit confusing.
You will be informed here for any updates. Thanks!
