Change the upload a file image or text?

Asked by mzelicskovics on August 03, 2011 at 11:07 PM

    Hi,

Is there a way to replace the current multiple image upload button which reads "upload a file" with another image like you can do for the submit button? Same thing for the clear button. Can we replace it with an image?

I would think that it should be as easy as replacing the submit button is, no?

Anyway, JotForm is awesome! Best form builder ever!

I decided that all I need to do is change the text from "Upload a file" to "BROWSE" for the multiple uploads buttons I am using for my form. Would you be able to guide me through this a little bit? I read the post about how to do this but I think it was tailored for that inquiry.

    Here is my form: http://www.jotform.com/form/12145637202

Could someone help me figure out the easiest way to change the multiple upload button text to read "BROWSE" rather than "Upload an image"?

    Hi,

There isn't really an 'easy' way to change the multiple upload button text, but there is a working solution provided by one of my colleagues here. It involves tinkering with the form's source code, so that means iframe and Embed <> methods aren't part of your options. You can only do this if you use source code as your embed method.

Anyway, feel free to ask questions if you run into any difficulties while implementing my colleague's solution. Thanks!

Well, I really hope that they either make it editable soon or they change the text. Right now it says "Upload an image" but I think "Browse" or "Upload Images" makes much more sense. Upload an image sounds like you can only upload 1 image.

Good point, mzelicskovics. I'll include this in our developers' to do list. In the meantime, you can continue using the workaround above. Your form should continue to work properly since it is a non-service impacting concern.

Please let us know if you have any other questions or ideas. Thank you for using JotForm!

Please be advised that, thanks to emrew86 (one of our developers) the text of multi-upload buttons can now be edited via the form builder.

As Abajan said it is possible anymore.
