What do the Pending Payment E-mail options do?

The description says "Send email alerts even if payment is not completed" but the options are "Notifications only" and "All Emails". What's the difference?

    Hello,

When someone fills out your form, the paypal field will redirect them to paypal to complete the payment.

If they opt out before completing the payment, or something happens that prevents them from making the payment through paypal, they are not considered a successful submission on the form, hence they are sent to the incomplete payments list

You will not be notified if anyone is added to that list by default because it is not considered a sucessful submission on the form - but by activating Pending Payment Emails, you will be getting email notifications whether you recieved a payment on your form or not.

    Does that clarify things?

    Please let us know.

Thanks TitusN but I'm still not clear what the difference is between "Notifications only" and "All Emails".

Is this right? "Notifications only" will only send a pending payment email notification (no form submission email). "All Emails" sends the same pending payment email notification but also the form submission email.

Sorry  - should have read that in your question:

Notifications only - this implies the emails that go to you

All emails - this implies both notification emails - which are sent to you,  and autoresponder emails -these go out to the customer, rather than you.

If you do not have an autoresponder set up, you can select 'notifications only', only the email notifications (which are set up by default when a new form is created) will be sent.

    I hope that helps.

Oh ok. That's not what I was expecting. I suggest adding a description of each option so it's clear to everyone.

Also I suggest changing the options to "Notifications Only" and "Notifications & Auto Responders". Maybe the additional description wouldn't be necessary then.

Also I misinterpreted "Pending Payment E-mail" to mean an email sent to notify the recipient that payment is still pending which is not correct based on your response. So maybe in the description instead of "Send email alerts..." it could read "Send form submission email..." or something similar so it's more specific. My 2¢.

Can anyone tell me where to find the setting for activating Pending Payment Emails?
