    Default selection in matrix

Asked by BeRough on August 05, 2011 at 03:44 AM

I had to add a 'no teams (not applicable)' column to the matrix, as a selection in the row could not be unselected if done so by mistake.

Is it possible to have all rows automatically slected in this column, for the user to select one of the other options.

Also, is it possible to have the user select the number of rows; eg Number of teams (select 3), and 3 rows are available.

    Problem solved.

Found the answer under conditions - I create 6 matrixes (1 row each), and have each appear when the total number of teams is entered.

No need for the 'No Teams' column either, as each row will then require a correct entry.

Is there a way of removing the column headers to achieve this ??

    Hi BeRough,

I hope I'm understanding your concern correctly. You want to remove the column labels of the matrix field, am I right? If yes, a workaround that you can do is to replace all of the field labels by a space (press spacebar once). And then ensure that the form is saved properly. You can also go to the Matrix Properties and delete any default content found in the Columns and then press spacebar and return key for each column you want to add in your matrix:

We hope you find this tip helpful. Please let us know if you need further assistance. Thank you for using JotForm!
