    Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out to Jotform Support. Could you please share the related form link with us and provide us with more details about the issue that you have experienced? For instance, you could provide an example scenario on your expectations.

We'll wait to hear back from you.

create an approval workflow, add the Approvals - Start and wait for an approval action to any flow. After you add this action, your flow can manage the approval of documents or processes. For example, you can create document approval flows that approve invoices, work orders, or sales quotations. You can also create process approval flows that approve vacation requests, overtime work, or travel plans.

    Hello Estefania_Balistreri,

Can you provide the form where you're trying to make this approval flow to see what you're trying to do?

If you want to send an email back to the person that submitted the email you will want to use the email form field for the send to email address.

Thank you- this doesnt help though. This is what we would like to do for most of our approval flows with some variation depending upon the type of the form attached.

    1. An employee fills in the form (we have 1000 employees across 10 locations). So we want only one form to be used across all.
    2. Each request form, once filled in, should go to the respective location's head (linked to field- store name or number+ 10 different email ids who are approvers dedicated to each location)
    3. Location head to Approved and employee gets notified (Linked to field- emplyoee email)
    4. Once approved by location head, it should then go to the second layer of approver which is administrator linked with 1 email id, for deduction of cost involved . The employee shouild again get an email confirming that their request has been processed and this is the amount which is going to be deducted (Linked to field- select style and payment option).

    Hi there,

Thanks for providing more information. Your requirements can be met by creating a new email element field and filling them out conditionally based on the user's choices.

You can set the Update/calculate field for the RM email address as described below.

Here's how it would look like in action.

Then on your approval flow, the email field can then be selected as the approver.

I would also recommend not clearing the hidden fields on submission on the form settings and you might also have to remove your "update email" conditions to make this work.

I hope this helps! Let us know if you need further assistance!

    Hi Raymond..thank you .

What i want is when the employee ticks Frankton- it should automatically be conditioned to Frankton RM email id and so on so forth..

Here is the link for the updated form https://form.jotform.com/220386486951061

I have done most but cant find the following "UPDATE/CALCULATE FIELD" option to connect with each other. Is it in Basic form build or in approval build or a Widget? please help or apply to "frankton" so I can copy from there

    Hi there,

    I hope you’re having a lovely day!

It seems you clear the hidden fields.

The recommendation provided by the previous support agent is a good alternative or option to implement your preference.

I also tried it on my end and it works great.

Let us know if you have questions or clarifications, we’re here to help!

    Best regards,

    Marlon

    Hello,

I have done most but cant find the following "UPDATE/CALCULATE FIELD" option to connect with each other. Is it in Basic form build or in approval build or a Widget? please help or apply to "frankton" so I can copy from there

This configuration can be found within your Form Builder. You will need to navigate to SETTINGS > CONDITIONS > UPDATE / CALCULATE FIELD.

Once the conditional logic is added, it will work along with your Approval Flow.

Kindly try to add the conditional logic, then give it a try. If any issue or difficulty arise, please don't hesitate to reach us back.

nope...cant understand. Are you wanting me to "Clear fileds" or I should not have "cleared fields" ?

We apologize for the confusion. Please make sure to choose the option "Don't Clear" for the settings "Clear Hidden Field Values"
