How can I upload my pictures to be used for my products?Asked by milladesign on May 12, 2014 at 02:56 AM
Hi§ Ireally struggle with my form, have tried Cyber Duck, Transmit and Dropbox for uploading my pictures to an orderform, nothing seems to work, Any soulution?
I am not sure if I have understood your question correctly.
Do you want to upload your images so that you can use it in your Payment question with "Product Lightbox" widget?
Upon checking your form, I found that you have uploaded your images in your dropbox account and used the image URL in your payment question. The URL does not seems to be correct as it does not open any image. Please check one of the link here: https://photos-3.dropbox.com/t/0/AAC_iYuCHxctKtCQcbpTFeqmCPtvwXXeih0E9S5mFC9Xyw/12/14196637/jpeg/2048x1536/3/1399831200/0/2/33-t.jpg/OQGyAIatKfh91G9BLvQO5wgZsz1O2A5NtXrYT5PIEUA
I am not sure if this is going to work with dropbox. They do not support direct file/image URL to be shared. Example URL: https://www.dropbox.com/s/mp1pkkwnkmwt2ba/ssl.png
Clicking on the URL does display the image but it cannot be used as an image URL. You do not have any FTP / web server where you can upload the files?
If you do not have the web server / ftp details, I feel you should follow the following steps to grab the image URL:
1. Create a form with file upload question.
2. Access the form with its's direct URL/ click on the "Preview" button of the toolbar to open the form in new window.
3. Select the file you want to upload and then submit the form.
4. Go to your form's submission page. Following guide should help you: http://www.jotform.com/help/269-How-to-view-Submissions
5. Grab the uploaded file URL.
This file/image URL can be used in your product question to display the images.
Hope this helps.
Do get back to us if you meant to ask something else.
I do use a ftp server where I have my files but it will not work when I use: "copy path" from the server and into my form, it still gets the questionmark ...
Are you using a FTP client?
Please be noted that if you copy the URL of the file from the ftp client, most likely you will get the ftp URL. You need to actually find the web URL of the images.
I did try to find out your images direct URL based on the FTP URL you have added in your purchase order question. Here are your image URL for every product you have added except one:
Grå rose: http://vollywood.no/images/kn546.jpg
I was not able to find the image URL for your one product. Please share the FTP URL of this image and we will surely help you.
Please check the following cloned form where you will be able to see the product images: http://form.jotformpro.com/form/41313365363954? Feel free to clone this form for a closer look. The following guide should help you in form cloning: http://www.jotform.com/help/42-How-to-Clone-an-Existing-Form-from-a-URL
one of the actual url, when i press copy path in ftp is: ftp://ftp.newweb.active24.com:21//vollywood.no/www/images/kn201-t.jpg
The URL you have shared seems to be the same my colleague already found and shared to you as GULL through his last message.
So, upon inspecting your form products I found that the only missing image is the one for the product LANDLIG BLA. You have used a Dropbox URL for that image, which will not work as stated by my colleague. This is the URL you have used: https://www.dropbox.com/sc/9809qx9sgjb7pio/AAA3tJ3Bmg9S0x7N-O6I92NKa
So, to make it work you have copy the URL given on your FTP, as you have done with this image for example: ftp://ftp.newweb.active24.com:21//vollywood.no/www/images/kn201-t.jpgOnce you get the ftp URL simply change the the URL to this way: http://vollywood.no/images/image-name.jpgThen replace the text image-name.jpg that I used by the actual image name. Or simply share the ftp of the image with us and we will do it for you as my colleague did it before. Thanks
