2 part application form that is submitted as one

Asked by Mark  on May 14, 2014 at 09:01 AM

Many thanks for your response yesterday -

I may not have made myself clear.  An applicant will complete their part of an online application to apply for an ID card. A 2nd Person will complete their part of the application to verify the applicants iD and approve their application before paying and submitting the application form to me to process.

How can I develope a 2 part application? If this cant be done I may have to re think things or scrap the idea of an online appliaction form.

My forms are on my website a PDF and Word downloadable, but no one really uses Royal Mail and stamps anymore so I need an online solution.

Any help would be appreciated - I've read the forums and I am impressed by the customer sevice and looking forward to using the service.

I searched the forum and could not find this other thread you mention, but from what you state in this thread, I believe that it can be done.

You can add an email field where the 1st person would insert the 2nd person email.

Then you would create an auto-responder email, select the recipient email to be the 2nd person email field:

and insert an edit link in the auto-responder:

    Add a payment field.

Then you could add a dropdown field with "approved: yes/no" and add a condition that if the answer is yes, to show the payment field:

You can test this by inserting your email in 2nd person field in this test form:

You can also clone this form if you wish.

I may need a redirect button (to the applicant) once the application has been verified as the applicant will be paying for the application / ID card.

Or Can the applicant complete the payment part using the form, then send the form to be verified?

That way the approver can e-sign the form the click send, so the final person to submit the application would be them?

Sorry about this, it's just that I am very new to this and your help is appreciated.

    Hi Mark

The form I created was to enable payment by the 2nd person. I need to give this a try so I can find the solution that suits you best.

But just to make sure, 1st person fills in the form, sends it to the 2nd person that verifies the entered data and then sends it again to the 1st person so that the payment can be done.
    Is this correct?

I'll work on a solution and get back to you once I have an update.
