Bug in the DateTime field -- field prompts alert error immediately even before the filled gets completed

Hey there,

when our customers fill in their birthdays an error message is shown right after they typed in the day the were born. They dont even get the chance to fill in the rest without getting that message. How can we fix that?

Hello Felix,

Kindly fill out the Day, Month and Year and let us know if you are still getting the error message. Apparently, the alert shows up too soon. I tried it on my form and as I fill out the rest, it goes away.

Please let us know if you need further help.

Hello Felix,

I've revisited your website and tried to fill out the birthday field. I've manually put in the numbers and looks like it is no longer showing up. Can you please tell me if we're good to go? Otherwise reply to this thread and we'll look deeper.

Also, you can use the calendar icon right beside the Year field to choose the date.

Some of our customers did give us bad feedback for our usability so I would
love to fix that bug so that there is no error message shown anymore..

I was able to reproduce this issue on your form http://www.jotformeu.com/form/40087711971355

The DateTime field will have the pop-up error message immediately even when the input is not yet completed

 

 

I think this is a new bug on the DateTime field which I think is having conflict when the form is using a different language other then Enghlish (your form was in German)

I made a test solely for the datetiem field, but this glitch did not happen when I was testing the form

 

 

I will submit a bug report to our higher team support so that it can check as soon as possible.

As a temporary workaround to prevent the pop-error message from happening on your form, you can use injected CSS codes like this on the form

.form-line-error .form-error-message {

display: none;

}

This is now fixed.  Please edit and save your form again for the changes to take effect.
