i would like to change the payment card details. When i tried to edit the billing details, it brings me to a page where it tells me to order the monthly payment. Is it supposed to be like this?

After checking your account I can see you are currently on the Premium Plan which is through Plimus. Unfortunately, We do not have the ability to update your personal details within Plimus from our end. We had some complications with Bluesnap (Plimus) so we have moved away from them and back to FastSpring which is probably the main reason why you are unable to update through your account billing section. So this leaves you with 2 choices...
#1 - You can Contact Plimus and they can update this for you and you are most certainly more than welcome to continue your plan with us through them if you wish.
#2 - (Recommended) Your plan recurring date is set to rebill you on 6/4/2014. What you could do is cancel your subscription and it will run its course until the 4th of next month or we could downgrade you before then if you wish closer to that date. You will then be able to re-subscribe to your plan and continue your subscription on FastSpring using your New Payment Details.
