PayPal setup and payment

I am in the process of setting up a PayPal account for the 1st time. I'm not sure exactly how my form works in this process and have a few questions.

    PayPal questions:

    1. Do I use 3rd party with PayPal built-in?
    2. Should I create payment button with HTML or use Express Checkout APIs?

    My questions:

    1. Can I send Membership and Registration Fees as well as Total Amount Due?
    2. When Make Payment button clisked, is the user taken to the secure PayPal credit card info page?

    Thanks

    To make sure I understand...

We need to answer "Yes" to using a 3rd party with PayPal built in.
We do not need to create an HTML button.

Not clear about the Express Checkout API. Do we need this?

Forms integrated to paypal payments will usually have paypal screen like this upon submission of the form (notice the total amount on the left panel)

Can you please elaborate this question further? Which Expres Checkout API you were referring to?

    Thanks.
