I'm a consultant and want to create forms to send to different users who can then save their answers in order to return to them as and wehn they need to to add, delete or simply have reference to.  Is this possible?

    Hi,

I think the Edit Link would accomplish this flow. So, you will have to create an autoresponder email: https://www.jotform.com/help/26-Creating-a-Form-Autoresponder and in the email body, add the "EDIT LINK" tag so when the user submits to your form, they will automatically receive an email containing a link that would allow them to change their previously submitted data.

Of course, you have to advise users to keep it - in bookmark so they won't forget it.

Please try it and let us know if that works for you.

    Thanks

By the way, the edit link in the autoresponder method assumes that the users submits to your form. If you don't want them to submit and just save entries and come back to it later, you can use the following method:

    http://www.jotform.com/help/227-How-to-Enable-Auto-Fill-Feature-Save-Form-Entries-to-Continue-Later

-Should only work on the same computer and browser that the form is initially filled. Using this method, data are saved into the browser's database.

    http://www.jotform.com/features/save-and-continue/

-Should work best if you want users to continue using another machine and browser. Using this method, the data will get save into our servers.

    Thanks

So can I give unique users a password to log into their forms as well?

    Hi,

Just to clarify, JotForm forms do not have password or login feature on it. As you can see, you cannot even have a password field type among the tools.

This is the reason we discourage using such process in the form, as having password/login process in the form can be perceived by the anti-phishing system as a method of stealing or phishing an account.

BUT you can add a procedure in your form that will require user/s to input unique answer before they can use the form fully.

That is by using the form's Condition Logic feature

    Guide: -Smart-Forms-Using-Conditional-Logic

Here is an example form http://www.jotform.me/form/40637261935457 (username is 'test123')

I have setup the condition logic like this

Hope this help. Inform us if you have further related question.

    Thanks!
