My form keeps reverting back the changes I make and save.

Asked by DaystarEd on May 27, 2014 at 01:13 PM

I have made a form titled "Daystar registration". numerous times after completing this for it has messed up and no one has touched it. Problems like the calculation values dissapearing and dropboxes being moved around from where I originally placed them. When I finished the for I know everything was correct because we triple checked the form multiple times before we made it live on our website. The form was fine on Friday, but when I went to the website over the weekend to show the form to someone and started clicking on classes, I noticed it was not calculating correctly.

    Hi,

We are really sorry for the inconveniences this may have caused to you.

Could you please let us know if you already tried correcting the form? I just checked the form and the calculation is working.

Forms reverting to old versions is caused most of the times by having the form builder opened for the same form in two different browser tabs or two different browsers. That way you save the updated version of the form, but the old version in the second browser tab also keeps autosaving which saves the old version of the form and overrides the new changes.

Kindly try using the Form Revision History feature, that will allow you to revert your form to previous version that may work as you wish.

In addition, just in case the issue happens again, we recommend you to clone your form so that you have backup and do not lose your updates again. Here is how to clone your form: Form cloning

Inform us if you need further assistance with this query.

    Thanks

    Hello,

No, I did not fix the problem yet. Some calculations are correct and some are not. If you go back to our website and click on the “Racism as an Ethical Issue” and “Treating Marijuana Dependence” classes you will see that the calculation is not correct. Like I said on Friday all calculations and drop boxes where correct. No one touched the form when we left the office on friday. Then all of the sudden stuff got changed and the form is all out of whack. Calculations are missing from the properties on some drop boxes and a lot of the drop boxes are actually moved from where I placed them. How does this happen if no one touches the form? No one has been in our office until today. Jotform has not been opened or used until today. And like I said this is an ongoing problem, I kept having this same issue when I was making the form. I kept on having to go back and fix everything. At this point I am becoming very frustrated.

Ok, thanks for the clarification, then. We understand your frustration, I would feel the same if I were in the same situation. So, we are going to do our best to get this problem resolved as soon as possible.

So, you have stated that this is an ongoing problem that has happened before, right? In that case I am forwarding this issue to our next level support so that they can verify whether this is due to an isolated glitch in our system or not.

That way they can restore your form permanently in case it was caused by a glitch in our system.

In the meantime you may clone your form and update it, in case that no issues happen with that cloned version, that means that the issue is isolated to the original form.

Once we received updates from our dev team, you will be notify via this thread.

Thank you very much for your understanding.

    Thanks

Thank you, I will wait to hear back from you regarding this problem. In the mean time, I have put the cloned form on our website and it seems to be working properly for now. I would still like this issue resolved.
