HTML editing in the notifier emails

Hi,

We have a program that can read and process content in an email. It words with line breaks to understand the formatting of the email. Therefore, reading the html commands <br> is important to our program. I have tried to edit the notifier templates on a html level using <br> but the system converts it to <p> every time. Is there a way around it?
