Submitting the form before upload of files is complete

    Hi,

I want to use a form to allow my clients to send me images via a file upload field integrated with Google drive.  I can get everything to work, the problem I have is that once the images have been selected for upload they immediately start to upload in the background, the form can still be edited but cannot be submitted until the background uploads are complete.  As there are usually numerous large files being uploaded this can take some time and this therefore means that the client has to come back to the form once the uploads are complete to be able to submit the order to us which is not ideal as they can forgot to complete the order or close the page before it has been submitted etc.

Is there a way whereby the files selected for upload are just shown in the upload box area, but the uploading of these files doesn't commence until the submit button has been clicked ?

    Thanks for your help, Stuart

I ran some tests and could replicate the same situation. In fact if user is uploading several big files, uploading and submitting the form can be time-consuming or lead to incomplete submissions:

But the fact is that if you are allowed to submit the form before the upload is completed the form will submit but will not send the files.

As we are talking about big files, I believe that for now the solution is for user to send an external link of the files. This way the form can be sent right away.

Still I will forward to our developers a feature request for "submit after upload is complete" option.

They will contact you via this thread once they have an update on this.

Let us know if further support is needed.

In that case, you should not use the multi-select option for uploads and use a standard upload field. You can add many field if you need the user to upload multiple files.

The files will be uploaded when the user clicks on the submit button. So, there will not be a need to click on submit again.
