I've visited http://import.jotform.io/ to experiment with your import functionality. I've been able to import submissions for a form that only has a text field. I then created another which has an attatchment field for uploading a file. The example generated on the page showing how the csv or xls should be formatted, but it makes no mention of how to deal with attachments, and I can't find any documentation on it.

You have to make sure that the source file is in the right format and contains the data that match with your form fields.
Anyway, I've tried it here and it comes with an error preventing me to proceed with the import process. Let me forward this thread to our developers so they can further check this and further inform us if file upload is allowed.
We'll update this thread once we heard some news from them (developers).

Just a follow up question, did you attach the CSV or Excel File to the import app? You have to attach the CSV or Excel file that contains the attachments to the Select Source File button before hitting the Import Button.
Just in case you have attached the file, when hitting Import, does it gives you any error? Also, is there any way you could send us the CSV or Excel file that you want to import?

I'm stuck here: "Excel file that contains the attachments". By what means will the attatchments be included in the xsl or csv? The instructions for on import.jotform.io are the same for my form with only a textfield for name as my form with a name texfield and attachment field.
[textfield for name]
So with xsl, this has one column, "3_Name_textbox"
[textfield and attatchment]
What needs to be done differently here to include and from there import attatchments like images?

Our colleague Welvin had already submitted a bug ticket report regarding the issue on Import Data app. The ticket is now currently assigned to a developer.
We will notify you when we have update on the status of the report.
