Calculation Widget Doesn't Calculate

It seems like the Calculation Widget is completely broken in anything less than IE10 (IE9, IE8). Is there an alternative to the calculation widget that will work in IE9 and IE8? Is there a conditional I can set that IF user is viewing on an older browser I can hide the calulation and instead show some kind of text like "Multiply this times that to get the total" or something? That's an alternative i would be happy with.

I'm unable to replicate the issue using IE 8 and 9 can you please tell us which part of the calculation is broken. Do you have a form that we can test or if your form is embedded to a website can you share the URL.

I tested and tried to add 2 values and works fine. Same result for IE 8 and 9
