Field has been filled even though it is hidden by conditional logicAsked by bsbjadmin on June 09, 2014 at 02:33 PM
I have created a form with conditional statements. When a person selects a district, they are directed to a list of counties to insert their respective number. Specifically an end user has entered a district (District 2) but was able to enter numbers into a county that is not listed under district 2. How is this even possible?
Please take note that once a user selects a District, for example District 1, fill up countries then switch to District 2 and fill up again the countries, the conditional logic doesn't reset the data that are filled into the District 1 countries so when they hit submit button, the data in D1 and D2 will be transmitted to your email and into your form submissions page.
The only workaround I could think that would prevent this from happening would be to hide the District Selection once a selection on this field has been made. See it here: http://www.jotformpro.com/form/41595664080964 (clone version of your form). So this way, if they want to select another district, they have to refresh the form and start again. OR, you can add the Reset button to every section of the form so this will just hit the reset button to show the district field.
Here's the conditional logic:
To add the "Reset" button, just simple click on the submit button and click "Reset" in the toolbar to activate it:
Hope that helps! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
I just want to add that refreshing the form and clicking reset button would remove all the data that have been filled into the whole form.
So where do I add the conditional logic that you have provided. Is it applied on the actualy district drop down or the district radio buttons?
No your solution of adding the conditional logic make sense.
It's applied to the District Radio Buttons. I'm sorry. So when someone selects a district, the field "Select district of petition signer." will be hidden.
