Changing the default html id's created for controlsAsked by karthik on June 10, 2014 at 06:21 AM
I have a question i am working on a forms application where i need to process the details entered in the form in some other java code for that the html ids of each control should be in a specified pattern is there options for confiquring the html id's at the time of form creation itself in jotform itself.
Though it is not possible to change the field IDs but you can change the field name in the form editor. You need to select the field>> click on the gear icon >> click on the "Show Properties" Please check the screenshot below:
Please be noted that you can download your form's full source code and change the "Field ID" and "Field Name". If the "Field IDs" are changed, the user data will not be captured once the form is submitted. Our server requires the field name to be same in order to retrieve the data from form and save it. Technically you should not change the "Field IDs".
Hope this answers your query.
