Conditions are not triggered when the browser autofill is used to populate field.Asked by careconfidential on June 11, 2014 at 08:08 AM
I have a Firstname and Surname field on my form. The database that I import my form data into requires a contact field comprising: firstname surname.
So using the Calculator I added the function firstname space + surname and the output goes to a hidden field on the form 'contact'
When I download the data to my database all is well.
However, when the client starts to enter their first name say 'Paul', as they enter P the autofill fills out the first name and the surname. The calculator runs in the background and produces the output of P (being the only character that was entered) rather than Paul. It seems that the calculator runs as soon as anything is entered into the first name box.
Any ideas of how to get around this problem?
If I understand your question correctly, you select the name from the history (cookies / browser autofill settings) which does not trigger the Form Calculator. Is that correct?
Unfortunately there is no workaround available for this. That is how the conditions feature works at the moment and it only triggers the condition on input through keyboard.
I am sending your query to our back end team to find out if there is any possibility. We will get back to you as soon as we have any update from them.
Many thanks I look forward to hearing from you
