    Authorize Configuration

Asked by openstudiospress on August 17, 2011 at 03:08 PM

I have put in my Login ID and the Key. But when I try to test it says I have not put in an email address. There is no field asking for email address. I have made sure the form has an address in the preferences.

Anyone?? Would love to start using the form for payments.

I'm wondering if it's because my Authorize gateway requires email address but the form doesn't have it integrated. How can I add email address to information being transferred to the gateway from jotform?

    Hi there,

Can you please try the following:

    1. Login to the Merchant Interface ( https://secure.authorize.net ),
    2. Click on Settings and Profile -> Payment Form -> Form Fields,
    3. Uncheck the Required box for all Phone and Email fields.

Save the changes and test the integration from JotForm.

Hope this helps, let us know if this works for you.

    Regards,
    Mliz

That does work. However, I cannot leave it unrequired as other systems that use our gateway do require it. It's important for us to gather required fields like that for other uses. Is there a way to change the authorize form to add such elements? For example, we also need to add "shipping address" to be sent to Authorize.

I think this is my question, hoping a solution has been provided: http://www.jotform.com/answers/1957-adding-an-email-address-to-Authorize-net-form

    Thanks,

    Hi there,

Unfortunately as of the moment this is not possible with the type of integration
JotForm has with Authorize.net. For now what I can suggest is to use
Paypal or Paypal Pro since these payment methods allow you collect shipping
    address of the user.

That is really too bad. Allowing flexibility within the Authorize form would be huge, I'm sure for a lot of people. Given our business and accounting, we cannot accept PAYPAL.

    Thanks,
