What does the number in orange on the "folder" mean?

Just wondering what the discrepency is from the number in orange and the actual number of submissions.

Hi,

This number represents the number of unread submissions for that current form.  You will notice if you go into the submissions and view them, the number will decrease.  If there is anything else we can assist you with please let us know and we will be happy to help.
