Capture Email Address with Stripe and Authorize.netAsked by autobizchris on June 21, 2014 at 11:29 PM
Your Stripe and Authorize.net do not collect email addresses. How are receipts sent to the customers who pay using JotForm integrate with either Stripe or Authorize.net?
If I add an email field to the JotForm it is not passed to Stripe or Authorize.net upon a successful transaction. Am I missing something?
Update: I found a few threads claiming this can be done but I haven't been able to pass email address via Stripe as of today. Have not tested Authorize.net but would love to hear if it is confirmed now.
To capture the email address with Stripe, just please make sure that the Email field is present to your form. Stripe automatically captures the email address and pass it to your Stripe Customers Dashboard:
Same thing with Authorize.net. But I think with Authorize.net, you have to check the email address in your authorize.net account.
Settings -> Payment Form -> Form Fields and make sure to Check the email address field.
Let us know if you have any further questions.

-Receipts should be sent to the submitters email address after completing the payment. As per instructions, you have to add the email address field into your form. Stripe will capture the email address automatically and Authorize.net does the same but you have to make sure the email address is required into your auth.net account.
Hope that helps! Let us know if you have any further questions.
On behalf of my colleague, you are welcome.
