How to stop my form from being cloned by other users?

I just read a post that has me worried. I followed the instruction in this post and was able to go to another jotform user website (not mine), view source and get their form ID and then import it into my account. In other words, anyone who views source on my website/s can easily get my form ID and take them for themselves, forms that I've worked extremely hard on. The form I imported had Paypal product integration but fortunately it did not bring over the other person's Paypal info (that I can tell).

Are there any settings that I can control to prevent others from taking my form?

    Hello ilober,

Yes it is possible to know the form ID by going to form's source code since they are just HTML forms. Please be noted that it is also possible to restrict the form cloning any form. Even if someone knows your form ID / form URL, they will not be able to clone your form.

Here are the steps to restrict form cloning:

    1. Click on the person looking icon.

    2. Click on the "Account" link.

    3. Click on "Settings"

    4. Ensure that the "Privacy" check box is checked. Please check the screenshot below:

    Hope this helps.
