    Hi,

I want to do a form in what appears pre-filled fields (prepopulating) with a long (1.000) of adress. Suscriber's job is complete, visiting this adress, others fields with the caracteristics of the building at this adress.

So, trying to see how is working "import data app", when i tried to import the 1.000 adress of the list... it creates 1.000 submissions in that form (instead of 1.000 ansewers options in the field..!!!)

    Is that normal?

Name of the form: title me.

The Import Data app is meant to import data from other data sources and combine them with your JotForm submission data.

The  "Field Prepopulator" app is the one meant to show pre-filled data in a form, please try it, and let us know if you have more questions.

    Hi, thanks for your answer.

Effectively, this apps is not what we are looking for, in fact, neither "Field preopulator".

What we are looking for, is a solution for next case:

Imagine we receive a .xls list of adress from our customer (columns A, B and C of the attached file). Our job is to visit each building and fill informations about each building of this list (it means complete the information filling fields information for columns D to O).

So, instead of writing the adress for each form, we would like to be able to "uplaod" into a "drobdown" box the list of these adress (very long, about 1.000 fields for each input list of our customer).

So, this tool would permit us, too, to be used like a "job list", showing our operators what are the adress they have to visit.

Is that posible? making a such long dropdown list?

What would be amazing, would be that we could upload this dates with, in the form, a 3 level dropdown tool (1st showing city name options, 2nd showing corresponding list of streets, 3rd showing the list of the number of the buildings to visit in that street)

But i'm affraid we're asking too much.....

As far as I know, we do not have such an App yet that would enable you to import the data and store it in a Drop Down field.

Not really sure if with the  "Auto Complete" widget this could be accomplished, since it is a very long list:

Using import data app, it generates 1 Screenshot 20

So, basically once you add the data, it will display the information based on the address you type.

Other than this, such a list of addresses can be shown if you download the full s, source code of your form, hire a programmer to create a solution, so he can make the connection between form and database, and then make the query to show the data on a Drop Down or text box field based on a selection.
