Is there a way to add information to each PDF of a submission?

Asked by TRADesign on July 01, 2014 at 03:27 PM

I would like to have all of the PDFs that I download from the notification email link to include certain information not within the submission. Is there a way to add a custom footer or just a paragraph of text to each PDF that is generated?

    Hi,

You can do this by having a field that is conditionally hidden with no conditions that will allow it to show in your actual form, but include it in your report.

    http://www.jotform.com/help/196-How-to-Hide-or-Show-Multiple-Fields-at-Once-Based-On-a-Single-Conditional-Entry

So essentially you'll have text that is included in every submission, but will not be shown to your users in the actual form.

Please let us know if this is not what you were looking for, or if you have any other questions and we will be happy to help.

    Thank you for using Jotform!

Thanks. Is there a way to have that field show up in the submission PDF as well?

    Hi,

That field will show up in all of your submissions.  It will be as if the user entered the data on their own.  Here is a guide on how to pre-populate your fields:

    http://www.jotform.com/help/71-Prepopulating-fields-to-your-JotForm-via-URL-parameters

There is an example in that guide that shows a form with pre-populated fields, you would simply need one that was hidden.  Please let us know if you have any trouble with this and we will be happy to help.

    Thank you for using Jotform!
