I have a question about the contact details on a form.

My form has two different fields - email and phone. I would like to make one of them mandatory - it doesn't matter which one. It can't be a solid setting - I want it so that whoever is filling in the form must fill in one or the other, it doesn't matter which, as long as one of them is filled.

Is this kind of automation available with jotform?

    Hello AssetBuilding,

Will just making your one of the field email or phone a mandatory field. You can make any form field mandatory by selecting the field and then clicking on "Required" button. Please check the screenshot below:

If you simply do not want to enforce your user to input values in required field but just let them choose in which field they want to input value and yet ensure that either one of the fields are field, you can take advantage of our "Condition" feature to achieve your requirement.

Idea is to simply add condition to check if one of the form field is empty then make the other form field mandatory. Please check the screenshot below:

Please take a look at the following cloned form where I have added the appropriate conditions to help you achieve your requirement:  http://form.jotformpro.com/form/41841471914960? Feel free to clone this form for a closer look. The following guide should help you in form cloning:  https://www.jotform.com/help/42-How-to-Clone-an-Existing-Form-from-a-URL

    Hope this helps.

Do get back to us if you have any questions.

    Thank you!

That answers my question. I wanted it so that if someone filled out the "phone" field, the email wouldn't be necessary, and vise versa. That's exactly what I needed to know. Jotform is great! Thanks for your help.
