Approval Workflow: Approval Decision Expiration

    the autofinish is activated only on the date that is placed? or is it from that date into the future or from that date back?

    Hi Dante_Oliver,

    Thanks for reaching out to us for help.

    The due date expiration on the approval workflow is the number of days that the approver is allowed to provide the decision after the approval email has been sent to them. On the other hand, if you have set a custom expiration date, the approval will expire on that certain date. And please note that the calendar picker will not allow you to select past dates.

    So, if I have a custom date, the records received on that date will be automatically approved.

    Also, records with a date greater than the scheduled date will be approved automatically?

    Hi Dante_Oliver,

    I believe, that if the submission is sent after the custom date that you have set up on your auto finish approval, the approval flow will not be auto-approved.

    Let me further test the function for you. I will so a submission tomorrow to a form I have just created today with the auto finish dated today. I will get back to you with a more accurate answer tomorrow. I appreciate your patience.

    I did a test submission today and it was autoapproved after a few minutes since it's past the custom date. Here's a screenshot of my Inbox:
