wkresearchAsked on July 7, 2014 at 2:29 PMUnder "Search 2" on my form I was first attempting to use a a dropdown option for users but switched to a check box because for some reason the dropdown option is not correctly reading Calculation values. I've given values of 2, 4 and 6 to Options 1, 2 and 3 and added a calculation tool to multiply the drop down choice by the manually entered "Search Time" field but the system is putting out some other values. Using the check box tool with the exact same parameters (see Search 1), the system is calculating the total correctly.

Hi,
I am not sure how the dropdown menus are calculated but changing the values to 1,2,3 instead of 2,4,6, seems to produce the intended calculation:

I'm having a similar problem on http://form.jotform.us/form/42504437366152
I have a drop down with these options
Option 1 - B
Option 2 - O
Option 3 - A
And these calculation fields
Banana
Orange
Apple
I then have a text field with a condition of showing the calculation (a-z) field of the drop down. I would expect the following to be shown
Option 1 - B -> Banana
Option 2 - O -> Orange
Option 3 - A -> Apple
But instead I get:
Option 1 - B -> Orange
Option 2 - O -> Apple
Option 3 - A -> Option 3
Thanks

Hi,
You actually need a placeholder value before your values. Since there is technically 4 options including the first blank one, you would need it to look like this:
0
Banana
Orange
Apple
If this does not produce the desired result, let us know and we will be happy to assist you further.
