Include HTML text in email submission.

Asked by tophersimon on August 24, 2011 at 02:16 PM

I have a form on my site where I have the client click 'understand and agree' to several bits of information such as payment info and cancelation policy.  When those forms are submitted all I receive in my email are the words "I understand and agree".

Legally it would be nice to have the full text of what they are agreeing to included in the email submission.

    Is this possible?

    Hi tophersimon,

Yes, you can copy-paste the whole text in the template of the email notification itself. To open your email notification tempate editor, (1) click the Email Alerts button found in your toolbar's Setup & Embed tab. (2) Then click the notification that you want to edit.

    (3) Paste the content of the HTML Text Editor in the appropriate area.

If youhave multiple "I agree" checkboxes in your form, make sure that you are pasting the correct text corresponding to the appropriate checkbox variable in the template. Then click the Finish button.

We hope you find this information useful. Please let us know if you need further help.

    Thank you for using JotForm!
