Fields do not disappear after answer to condition questions changed

for example, "if 'do you have any children' is equal to 'no, but I have a dependent'" the field to enter non-child dependents drops down. If the respondent goes back and changes the selection to "yes" from "no, but I have a dependent" the children field will drop down as it should but the non-child dependent field stays down.

It is like this for many fields. How do we fix this without overloading the system with conditions.

    Hi,

Unfortunately you would need to add conditions to hide the field when another is selected.  You would essentially add the converse condition of each.  So in the case of your example, you would add this action to your condition in addition to the one you mentioned:

IF "do you have any childeren" IS NOT EQUAL TO "no, but I have a dependent" HIDE "non-child dependents"
