I want to copy or fix the value upon selection of a single choice field to a particular dropdown of configurable list. Can this be done?

    Hello Biswadeep Mukherjee,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Please note that it is not possible to prepopulate the Configurable List or any other widget. Only regular form fields can be prepopulated. If you want, we can open the feature request for our developers. When or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users request it.

We'll be waiting for your confirmation.

    Hi Support Team,
    Thanks for your mail.
Actually, I can explain the requirement via the attached screen-shot
where, I want to populate the field "Unit" in the questions "Place your
order below for SS 200 / JT GRADE :" and "Place your order below for SS
304 GRADE : " once the user clicks the radio button of the field "order
    in" above these questions.
For example, if the user checks the radio button "KGs" in the "order in"
question, automatically the "Unit" fields of the questions "Place your
order below for SS 200 / JT GRADE :" and "Place your order below for SS
304 GRADE : " will freeze the list showing only "KGs".
Hope I am able to clarify my requirement. Expecting a positive response
    from your desk.
    Thanks for your usual cooperation.
    Regards,
    Biswadeep Mukherjee

    Hello Biswadeep,

Thanks for getting back to us. Your requirement can be achieved by setting up a condition, however, due to the nature of having multiple fields in the configurable list, it is not possible to use a condition with this widget.

As a workaround, instead of using the widget, you can turn it into Short Text fields in order to apply a condition. If you could disable the password on your form temporarily so we can clone it, then we can create a demo form for you.

Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to move forward with a solution.

    Hi Nina,
    Thanks for the quick response.
I can disable the password from my form and you can clone it. But pls do
clone as I do not have a 2nd copy of this.
However my concern is, can "Short Text fields" serve the purpose of
configurable list? As we have the pre-set data in the list.
    Please confirm.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hello Biswadeep,

We cannot clone your form as it is on a password protection, can you disabled it on your side and let us clone it so we can proceed on providing you a demo from your cloned form. Rest assured that we won't move anything on your form.

Yes, you can add the short text field and a dropdown field to serve as a configurable list on your form.

    We await your response.

    Hello Biswadeep,

We appreciate your patience. I have cloned and tested the form and it seems that on your Configurable List, you have drop-downs. Instead of using short text element, we have used the dropdown element for it to be able to be pre-populated. You may check this sample cloned form: https://form.jotform.com/221451606775457

In regards to pre-populating and making calculation, the basic element shall be available. Can you please explain further from where are you pre-populating data? is it from another form or spreadsheet? Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to help you with this.

    Thanks Myla,
I have gone through the below link.
The primary issue is the fixation of Units (KGs/PCs/BUNDLES) once the
user selects "order in" radio button. Moreover, the user can add orders
('+' sign) in configurable list and is not practically possible for
    dropdown element.
I am providing you the link after publishing, which will help you to get
a clearer picture of my requirement.
The pre-populating data - I have manually listed them in the list (as
the list is more or less fixed):

    Hello Biswadeep_Mukherjee,

If I understand your concern correctly, the field with the label Unit in the configurable list widget should be populated, correct? If so, as mentioned earlier, this is not possible.

Please try Myla's workaround and see if that helps you with your requirement for the form. The only downside is that you won't have the add fields functionality; however, you can add a Single Choice field to control how many fields should be shown depending on their selection(e.g. show 3 fields when your users chose 3 in the Single Choice field). Let us know if you're interested in doing this so we can create a sample form.

    Thanks Billy,
Let me check, if I can think in other way round.
    However,
Can you help me with another issue? It is with showing the data
in the submission on "Spreadsheet to form" widget. The data which is
valid (Valid code) is shown in the submission, but the data which is
invalid, I need to have the field being shown in the form submission
data. If you see the below snapshot, you will get to know, why I need
    that:
Please let me know if this is possible.
    Thanks & Regards,
