Sign a completed form

Hello - I'm working on a project where I need a form to be completed, but once completed my client would need to view and sign the form

Is there a way my client can sign a completed form before I download?

    Thanks!

    Hello ReplayFilms,

Thank you for reaching out to Jotform Support. With Jotform Approvals feature, you can now have your completed forms signed. Kindly visit this guide(with visuals) to learn how to set it up. Let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with.

That's great - thanks - I think this is what I need - just testing it out!

Couple of questions, I am using an existing form, and want my clients signature/approval to appear in a set place on the form - I thought I would be able to add the 'approve & sign' element to a certain place on the form - is this possible? I can't see how

Also, does my client need to have access to my Jotform's to approve?

I have various different clients and wouldn't want them to see/have access to other projects!

    Thanks again!

Please provide us with the URL of the form you're using so we can provide suggestions.

As for your question about having an access to your Jotform account, the answer is no. Please see the screenshot below:

Thanks all - I have created the same form with 'My Approvals'

https://form.jotform.com/221473122430038 - not sure if this makes any difference!

    Hi ReplayFilms,

Thank you for patiently waiting. I have cloned your form instead of the Approval only we can removed the approval and add "Approval and Signature".

    See screenshot below

    1. Delete the "Approval".

    1653742714 62921c7a79f25 Screenshot 10

    2. Once the Approval is deleted, drag the Approval & Sign to the center

    3. Then you will be receiving email to approve and sign. See example below

Can you please try and let us know if this work with you.

    Regards,

    Marvin

Thanks for the advice - I tried this, however it seems to require login to JotForm which my clients wouldn't be able to

With the 'approval' there is the option to toggle 'require login'

As a result, my client can't sign and approve...

I did a test with this, but had to login to sign, but still cant see how to assign that signature to a field on the original pdf download - is this possible?

    Hello ReplayFilms,

Thanks for getting back to us. Unfortunately, for the Approve and Sign feature, user will need to log into a Jotform account to complete the task.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

    Hello ReplayFilms,

Thanks for getting back to us. The Approve and Sign feature does not assign a field on the form to sign. When completing the task of Approve and Sign, user will be asked to login in Jotform account and redirected to their Inbox. There they will be able to sign and approve the form. It also seems that there is a confusion regarding Approval and Approve and Sign features:1653749484 629236ece4f35 approval Screenshot 10Those are 2 different features. You can turn OFF the requirement for a user to login to approve a form in the Approval feature but, not for the Approve and Sign feature. We would also recommend you an alternative for the type of form you want to build:

In that option, you can have a completed form with a signature field. You can send that form to the user asking them to sign on the form.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
