I am using a form to "calculate" a best contact phone number. However I can only do this using a standard text box field, not the phone field, hence a mobile user cannot click it to dial the number.

Is there a trick to getting this to work?

    Hello dslyderink,

I am not sure if I have understood your question correctly.

Do you want to make the value of a text box clickable?  I am not sure how that can be achieved but you can make any number clickable in HTML by adding the hyperlink code. Example:

    <a target="_blank" href="tel:41977480336564 ">Call 41977480336564 </a>

Please be noted that you can also make the phone numbers clickable in thank you message or the submission email by adding the tag: tel:{phoneNumber} as the hyperlink URL. Please check the screenshot below:

    Hope this helps.
