My form is fine when I am working in it. If I change screens it disappears even though it says it is saving. What has happened to my form? Why is there no simple SAVE or SAVE AS??

I am not sure how you meant by If I change screens it disappears -- did you meant closing the browser and then opening it again? Doing that action will surely close the form builder and your form.
You can view all your forms in your My Forms lists when logged in to JotForm.
Here is also the user guide on -How-to-Save-a-Form .
By default, the forms are being auto saved while working on the form builder. So your form is always safe and saved while editing/working.
You can do the SAVE AS on forms by cloning them instead. Follow this user guide on
