    Request to add Authorize Only payment method to PayPal Pro integration

    Hi,

     

    I know it's possible to authorize only with paypal standard.

    I saw a post from 2013 that said this was not possible with Paypal Pro.

    Have you updated you Paypal Pro integration to allow for just authorization?

     

    I cannot use Paypal standard (I have a paypal pro account) because it does not offer the option to enter credit cards right away (you have to open a paypal account).

     

    If you have not implemented this, can you provide a work around?

    Can I put the necessary code somewhere in your form?

    Would you have a widget or plugin I can use?

    Thank you for contacting us.

    As far as I can see, the Authorize Only payment method is not currently available for our PayPal Pro integration. I do no think that we can overcome it since the integration is hardcoded and there is no access from the form builder to the integration code.

    I have attached a feature request ticket about the Authorize Only payment method for PayPal Pro and escalated it to our Development Team. I hope that we will see that option implemented at some point.

    We will update this thread when we have any updates on the ticket.

    Unfortunately we cannot give you an ETA. For now the ticket is still unassigned to a developer. 

    They will contact you via this thread once they have an update.

    We are sorry for the delay. This feature is now available.

    Simply select your form's payment field then right-click on it.

    Click 'Show Properties' then choose 'Yes' for the option 'Authorization Only'.

    Click 'Close Settings' then save your form.
