How can I display html tags without them disapearing?Asked by gabi on July 25, 2014 at 05:38 PM
I am creating a form for users to describe the markup they've used in creating various documents. I would like to include the tags as options in a check box field. For example, the question for the field is "which tags did you use in your markup?" Then for each option in the check box it will be something like "p tags, <p>". When I try to do this, the p in angle brackets disappears. If I use HTML entities instead, then the tag appears. It looks like this, which is how I want it to look:
However, when I get the results of the form emailed to myself, there is a weird strikethrough through all the text from the check box. For example, if the user did check "p tags, <p>" this will show up as p tags.
Is there any way around this?
Unfortunately, that's not possible with the regular checkbox for a security reason. What you can do is to use checkbox widgets like the following.
You can choose whichever you like.
