How do I stop people from RSVPing after the end date?

I would not like to allow people to RSVP after today, but rather that they contact me directly. How would I end the RSVPing, but not eliminate the event altogether?

Maybe you could add date expiration on your form? The form will automatically disable itself once it reached the date limit.
