Upload failing in Google Chrome and certain versions of IE

    Hi,

We are using Jotform for supplier submissions of dimensional data on parts and require them to upload dimensional reports.

We are seeing an issue where a document upload works in IE 9.0 (our internal version), but fails in Google Chrome
    (v36) and IE 10.0.

When we get the submission confirmation and edit the submission we can upload documents in both browsers (Chrome, IE10.0)

This issue is unrelated to file extension and file size. We are also have enough storage and submission space left.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

    Thank you in advance,

    Regards,

    Sebastiaan K.

When you say the upload fails in chrome you mean by the button is not clickable or are you getting an error and won't allow you to upload file using chrome v36. I was testing this using chrome v36 but I'm unable to encounter the problem.

    Very strange indeed.

I've also made a GIF of my process and you can see what happens.

However when I edit an already submitted post:

Could be a version issue with chrome but that is strange since it works on my v36. Have you tried it on a different version of chrome or if you could update your chrome to an earlier version.

You can troubleshoot by disabling some google extensions just to identify where the problem is. If this is something on chrome then we can submit a ticket to our 2nd level once identified that there's an issue with chrome version v36 in file upload field.

    Jed,

I've been doing some "mucking about" using my 4G data connection to upload files to the jotform instead of our corporate network and it seems that the issue is at our end.

The form works fine when I go through Vodafone instead.

Before I get more into this at the Jotform end I will review with our IT staff.

    Thank you for your support.

    Regards,

    Thanks again.
