Though we recommend against collecting information such as social security numbers, we do to some extent allow for the collection of such data. However, occasionally collecting such data will set off our phishing detector and automatically suspend the form and the user until a manual check can be made. If this happens you can let us know and we will do a manual review and enable the form if it is not a phishing form. We have this in place to ensure the security of not only our user, but the people who use our forms. We do store the information in its entirety in your submission data in your account. So anyone with access to your account, would also have access to full social security numbers. In the even of a security breach of your account this could be an issue.
If you do wish to collect this data, here is our guide on how to deal with such data to ensure the highest level of security for your users:
Please let us know if you have any further questions and we will be happy to help.
