Its been a couple of weeks since the last update, and we are excited to share what we have in store for you.

The widget team has been working hard to make sure you have the best tools for your form - giving you an unparalleled advantage in collecting, analyzing and sharing form results.

We have shifted our focus to improving the quality of all our 366 widgets

    Our team consists of:

    1. A Team manager - who is in charge of the workflow, widget content, use case, functionality and quality.

    2. A Designer, who is in charge of widget layouts, presentation and all graphical requirements

    3. A Developer - who is in charge of the fundamental programming and functionality of the widget

Each widget is taken through a process of testing against multiple use case scenarios - testing on different platforms for design and functionality - during this process, the widget goes back and forth in the team as each element of the widget is checked and double checked before the changes are published.

Normally, we act on our user's bug reports for widgets to make corrections and patch the widgets with improvement updates, we also act on a priority list to improve widgets, add features and to generally improve all the widgets.

Join us each week as we highlight the widgets we have worked on, updated and improved.

    This Week's Featured Widgets:

Configurable List has grown quite popular in the last couple of months, and we have received valuable feedback which led to the updates we have made.

This widget is quite powerful, letting your form users automatically generate a list of pre-configured fields.

Here are the updates we made:

    1. The widget now comes with an easy to use guide as shown on the widget profile

    2. The widget data can now be accessed in Submission Edit Mode

    3. The widget now checks and validates for required values per column

Check out the rest of Configurable List features with which you can build powerful forms.

The Countdown Widget  is essential for forms which have a time limit on them. You can configure the countdown timer that will prevent the form from being submitted if the user takes too long to fill out the form.

This form is great for evaluations, tests and online exams.

We've updated the widget, and now it can be used on multi-page forms.

Give the Countdown Widget a test run here.

There are certain fields on our forms that require a Fixed Format, that is, an exact character count and type like telephone numbers, routing and tracking numbers, serial numbers among others.

The Fixed Format Widget is designed just for that. It allows you to add fields on your form which require an exact number of characters. You can also split the input field to collect the information in two or more fields arranged horizontally.

We have updated Fixed Format to accept Alphanumeric Characters - give it a try.

With the Social Network evolution in full play - it is imperative to interact with your audience through your social networks. This is the primary reason why we have the Social Follow Widget.

The widget allows you to easily add buttons to your form that lead to all your social network profiles or fan pages.

The widget now supports Pinterest, Digg and StumbleUpon. Go ahead and link your social profiles using Social Follow.

This widget allows you to place a set of fill-in-the-blanks input fields on your form. Narrative Fields is ideal for all forms that have a narrative or paragraph style questions.

The widget now supports hints that will guide your users on what kind of answers they should reply with (shown above).

Give the Narrative Fields widget a spin

Many of our users offer awesome services, and they build beautiful forms to compliment that awesomeness.

What better way to share your form and services than to get the word out on the most popular social networking sites?  This widget makes sharing your form a breeze. Social Share allows your form users to share your form with a simple click to their favorite social network.

We have updated the helper text - making it incredibly easy to configure and add the share buttons to your forms. Try the Social Share widget today and see for yourself.

This widget is an all in one, fill-in-the-blanks test administrator.

With the Passage Test widget, you can test your form users whether they know the correct answers if they fill out the blank spaces.

You can configure the correct answers in the widget, which will automatically evaluate all form answers and return a pass or fail when the form is submitted.

We've prevented the widget from showing the answers to your form users, also hidden from the source code - so now you can securely configure your form answers in the Passage Test Settings

Do you offer support through Skype? or have you been wondering how your form users can call you directly from your form?

This is the widget you are looking for.

The Skype Call Button adds a call button on your form which will open your users' skype application, and begin dialing your Skype ID.  Pretty cool, huh?

We've updated the widget to fix a button display issue. Go to the Skype Call Button Demo form and see how it works.

Organized forms attract attention - especially when your form questions are neatly organized in categories or subject groups for your form users. It makes it easy for the form user to stay in context and provide accurate answers.

The Form Separator Widget arranges your form into neat vertical sections with a customized horizontal line, along with the desired space above and below the form.

We have updated the widget settings to make it easy and quick to configure. Go ahead and organize your form layout with the form separator.

One of the few ways to authenticate a form submission is by the user signing the form using their hand, like they would with a paper and pen.

This E-Signature widget brings this to life, allowing your form users to sign the form after completion so that they can confirm their deliberate acknowledgement of the form answers.

We've fixed a minor layout bug when a form submission is opened in edit mode, so now you can confidently use the widget to confirm your form user's answers.

The E-signature widget works pretty well with mobile devices as well. Give it a try.

The Substring JavaScript Function may have a technical name, but what it does is simply copy a section of characters from a word that has been typed in.

The Substring Widget compliments this function by allowing you to copy a section of characters from one input field, which you could use for various purposes - like generating an email address, append them to another word (concatenation) among other uses.

The field the widget generates can be used together with the calculation widget to manipulate the copied text further.

Here are a few examples of how you can use the Substring Widget:

    1. Automatically Generate Email Addresses

    2. Generate Invoice Number with Company Name

    3. Generate Name Specific ID's

We have updated the widget by fixing its layout, and added some helper text in the settings dialog to help you configure things quicker. Give the Substring Widget a spin.

To improve the quality of our widgets, we are currently checking all trending widgets by usage, and making sure they withstand quality checks, and prioritized when we notice any issues that need addressing.

As always, we are grateful to you for your valuable feedback, which we carefully consider and weave into our workflow. Thank you.

Next week, we'll showcase Editor Picks from our Widget Gallery

We will also show you the trending widget of the week, and tell you why its so popular.

We encourage your reviews, comments and ratings on our widget profiles - if you like a widget - please tell us about it :-)

    Till next time :-)
