Export to ExcelAsked by Leigh Ann on August 08, 2014 at 02:23 PM
I'm considering using Jotform for a client who is an Angel Investor Network.
Essentially every quarter the Network wants to send out a summary of stats from all the investment companies. The challenge in this activity is the collection of data from each company.
I was thinking that I would use Jotform to post a form online that each company would be required to complete either monthly or quarterly.
I want all this data to sit in excel and then it will be automatically pulled into an online visualization tool that will create the report.
My question is this:
If 50 different companies complete the form in the 1st quarter is there a way so that I have one excel sheet rather than 50 different excel sheets?
Also, if they update their jotform in the second quarter is there a way that I can combine data from Q1 with Q2 without manually doing this? I want to be able to show difference between Q1 and Q2.
Thank you for your interest in using JotForm. I understand that you want to use JotForm for collection of data from the companies either monthly or quarterly. I see that you are looking for downloading the submissions of the form to single excel sheet irrespective of different companies and different quarters.
I would like to inform you that you can export all the submissions of a form to one excel sheet from submissions view. You can place a field in the form to identify for which quarter/month the company is submitting the form. So that the quarter field is also exported to the same excel sheet which may help you in creating the reports as you need.
Please take a look at this sample form and the submitted entries can be downloaded to excel sheet as columns. I encourage you to clone this form or create a new form to see the powerful features of JotForm. I request you to go through the guides provided as links in this post for better understanding.
