Offline form support

    Hi! I love using Jotforms, but I wish that there was a feature in which we could use the forms offline by having people enter their information into forms, saving the forms, and then uploading forms' information to the database when the computer is connected to the internet (like with Adobe's FormCentral). The jotform.com Excel & CVS spreadsheets are options, but unfortunately, the cells do not explain the information that we gather on the form and the spreadsheets are confusing for the average person to use. We would like to use the form at registration events at which our computers are not connected to the internet. Thank you.

    Hi,

    Unfortunately, we do not support it here. Everything with Jotform requires internet access. Without it, Jotform will not be able to work. In other words, Jotform is not designed for offline use.

    Downloading a copy of your form submissions to Excel or CSV will be your best option. You can also download your form's full source code, though you still need to have internet access if you want the submissions to be processed, unless you will write your own script and modify the form to submit the form data locally.

    Hope this clears your question. Thank you so much!

    Yeah, I realize that. The best would be if we could save the jotform form as a PDF (which is already possible), and then allow people to fill out the PDF and save it, and then upload the information from the PDF into jotform when online. Maybe there is a way for people to save the information into a fillable PDF, convert the PDF into CSV, and then upload the CSV into jotform using Import Data App to import the CSV.

    Hi,

    It is possible to convert a PDF to a CSV file:

    http://www.ehow.com/how_5816209_convert-pdf-csv.html

    However converting a JotForm form to a PDF you can fill out in the same way as one of our forms is not currently possible.  The actual form does not save as a PDF, it merely imports submission data collected by your form to a PDF.

    Please let us know if you have any further questions and we will be happy to help.

    Thank you for using JotForm!

    @SCSCSpringBazaar

    Great news!

    We are very pleased to inform you that we have just released a Fillable PDF Form Creator. You can now export your forms into a fillable PDF form and use it offline. Your users can save the filled pdf locally or submit it directly on the PDF by clicking the submit button. It works similarly when submitting your web form.

    http://www.jotform.com/fillable-pdf-form-creator

    Please try it and let us know your feedback.

    Cheers!
