Is there a way (trick) I give users the ability to write values in a text area which becomes the options in a dropdown box in the same or a different form?
The goal is let users set the values for the dropdowns.
If not already, it will be a great addition. Can you please confirm?

I understand that you want to allow user to add options to the dropdown menu. If so, you are looking for the widget User Contributed Dropdown. Please see the demo of the widget below.
Hope this information helps. Please get back to us if you have any other questions. We are happy to help you.
Thank you for using JotForm.

Thank you. But Should not there be also an option to remove some values from the user contributed drop down widget?
Can you please let me know if it can be achieved someway?

I looked but I can confirm that I don't see a way to do that either. Thank you for pointing that out and I've forwarded this to our developers.
Here's a demographic prototype of how this could possibly work -

Hi! I'm happy to inform you that we implemented the delete function of the widgets. It can only be seen when you load your form to the Jotform Builder. "X" icons or buttons will appear next to the options that were added by your users. You can now easily get rid of them if you want to.
Here's a sample picture for you from one of my colleague.
Thank you for your patience, keep using Jotform!
