JotForm JS and Google Pagespeed Insights

Asked by benjaminaurelius on August 14, 2014 at 01:44 PM

    Hey,

I just want to inform you, that when I run a test on Google Pagespeed Insights (http://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights) some of the major "errors" I get back are due to jotform. One big one seems to be inside the javascript.

Google comments on this that the js could be decreased:

    https://js.jotform.com/WidgetsServer.js by 50%

    http://max.jotfor.ms/js/formTranslation.js?3.2.3163 by 17%

Every tiny point here can improve the pagerank of a site on google. Although I dont know if anything could be done by Jotform. Just wanted to let you know.

    Hi,

Thanks for sharing and providing your feedback.

I check it again with the tool you referred with us but I haven't seen error and major drawback reports. Perhaps I have overlooked something. The speed shows 99 / 100 which is totally fine. Although the mobile side shows 67 / 100 obviously because it's a js file and not an HTML document.

However, we appreciate you for reporting this. I'm sure our development team are aware of this things since they always dedicate time on improving Jotform's performance

    Have a good one!

Yes, I am sure they are.

Just another test: even if I am testing it with jotform.com I get the exact same error - only this time with WidgetsServerBuilder.js instead of WidgetsServer.js, which makes sense, because the Builder is shown instead of a ready form.
