Payments through terminal

    Hello,

Owner of a small hotel i actually use a software from the belgian CCV PC company to make payments from customers via a webpage in our reception computer (the software is in localhost).

As we want to install a full automated check-in system and dont like their actual page we would like to change that localhost page to our needs with just 3 or four big icons (visa amex maestro card  and type of room to choose...). in that case clients insert their credit or debit card in the payment terminal and then follow  payment instructions on a touchscreen by themselves.

Is that possible or can Jotform help us on that?

    regards

    Hi,

Unfortunately we only do online forms and not point of sale systems.  You would need quite a bit of customization. including a fair amount of database setup and scripting in order to use our forms in this manner.  We also do not currently have an integration for POS credit card processing.  Your clients would not be able to swipe their cards as you want.  You can however create booking forms such as this one:

Please let us know if you have any further questions and we will be happy to help.

    Thank you for using JotForm!

yes i suppose we do need to bypass that original software and purchase a POS sofware that connects directly to the payment terminal.

Unfortunately being web based, there aren't many integration's for physical devices with our forms.  Do let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.

    Thank you for using JotForm!

    Yes there is,

How do i make settings in paypal pro in order to let a client pay by credit card,  then client receives a code (exemple 1234#) to use tfor opening a keybox containing our hotel keys.

I didn't manage to do that with the "coupon" feature.

    Thanks

Your question is moved to a new thread and shall be addressed here since addressing multiple issues on a single thread leads to confusion.

The idea of customization is probably the only way out for you in that case. Also, please let us know when you get a permanent solution for your problem. Good luck!

    Hi,

The workaround my colleague suggested in the split thread is probably the best solution. The user would have to enter their credit card data though, rather than being able to swipe their card. There are a few other limitations of doing it that way but it will work.
