http://form.jotform.co/form/32796127933867 this is first form - that is part of the work around.

    this is our actual form/application

    http://form.jotform.co/form/32653911116853

We have given them a deadline and they are trying to complete the form on time - there will be many people trying to complete our applications.  any help would be fantastic!

    Thanks,

    Kay

It's great to remember a workaround on the issue that you have experienced long back. I appreciate that. We have got a feature that you may want to try out enabling Auto-Fill feature on the forms. This feature helps to save the changes on the form into local browser storage. But, it is required to continue with the same computer and browser.

If the user has to continue on a different computer, you may need the other workaround on saving the form to continue later which you have already tried.

Hope this information helps. Please get back to us if you need further assistance. We are happy to assist you.

I spoke to two people filling out the form and they first said it was not saving after several emails and discussions it sounds like it freezes - and they can not continue.  Have you had other reports of this happening. One was in FL the other from CA.

    The following are the issues that we have had;

    1.       The online application process has either not saved data, or it has “locked up”, thus disallowing me to continue with the process.

    2.       When I have closed out the program to return to the previous work I had completed, all downloaded and text typed data was not saved.

I would greatly appreciate your help!!

    Thanks,

    Kay

I've cloned your form and tested it in order to reproduce the issue. As I fill two pages and close the browser and restarted it seems to be working normally and it has everything saved in the form except for files to be uploaded which is normal. Please confirm if you've received these reports on the form http://form.jotform.co/form/32653911116853 and it is based on Auto-fill feature

There are no reports on form freezing as I am aware of. Generally these issues occur due to browser cache that can be cleared by cleaning browser cache. User might need to fresh start the form after clearing the cache. Also, we recommend to use Mozilla FireFox or Chrome browsers to use with forms.

Could you confirm on the browser used and if it happens on a particular page? Is there any error message displayed apart from freezing? Also, please let us know if you are also experiencing the same issue as you test it.

Please get back to us with the results and any error messages that you may have received that would help us in provide you with right solution. We'll wait for your response.

Okay - this same thing happened last year around the due date, last year a I spent a lot of time on the cache and it was not the cache.

I have no record of your test - I didn't receive a email saying you tested. I looked under my form and didn't see a test form you. I just tested it and i could not recover my data either.

I will attempt to do the cache thing but have little faith in that. I am pretty sure it comes back to the work around and the numbers contacting the two forms can you check those while i try the cache thing.

My form didn't freeze - I filled in two pages and then got out and couldn't go back to the pages i filled out.  I had to start all over.  How did you close after your two pages?  did you restart by using the email that was sent to you from the first form??? Can you help figure out what is  happening?

    Thanks,

    Kay

Since I cloned your form into my account for testing purposes, you'll not be any emails. Please see the recorded session below on your form.

    http://submit.jotform.com/uploads/forum/guest_42295714372053/1408395766autofill1.gif

I've closed the browser window completely after 2 pages and reloaded the form URL. After reloading the form, the form loads normally from page one since browser treats the form as a single page. Clicking on Next, you should see the fields that are already filled in.

Please let me know if you see something different than this? I hope you are working on the form 32653911116853 to check we are on the same page. Meanwhile, let me check your previous forum history, if I can see anything helpful.

I think it has something to do with the work around form- when you use that link to get back to the application - it makes you start all over.  the first form

http://form.jotform.co/form/32796127933867  is suppose to tie to the application (that you filled out

    32653911116853)

below is what we get when some fills out the first page (work around) it does not get me back to the pages that i already filled out.  Please help.

    Hello,

Welcome to the USLA certification system. This is your link to your agency's application.  Please save this email - the link below will return you to your application if you have to stop while filling out the application. http://form.jotform.co/form/32653911116853?session=smiley.lks1@gmail.com

The autoresponder email is properly configured and contains the correct session URL linking to the second form. However, your first form is set to redirect to the second, but without the session URL. Your form submitters might think to continue using the form without checking their emails for the autoresponder and for them click on the link and to use the form with session parameters.

If you need to redirect users to the second form, I would suggest using the second form URL with the session parameter. In this case, the custom thank you URL should be:

    http://form.jotform.co/form/32653911116853?session={emailAddress8}

I've tried it here and it's working fine. Check my saved data here: http://form.jotform.co/form/32653911116853?session=vincecudas@gmail.com

Lastly, we don't recommend using both autofill feature and session URL method. You should only use one option. I disabled autofill to your second form.

    Thank you!

Also, enabling the autofill feature and choosing the shortest time in saving data is causing the browser to freeze up. It uses a lot of the browser memory and would sometimes end up crashing the browser, especially, you have a very long form.

    Thank you!

I checked your form and noticed that you've changed the thank you settings of the first form and put the link to a button which is correct. Yes, I disabled the second form's autofill feature. Everything should all set now.

    Thank you!
