    Wishbox does not work on SSL.

    Asked by qp_william on August 18, 2014 at 03:27 AM

    It's 2014 and it seems that this is still an issue. It is impossible to use Wishbox form within HTTPS site. That seems crazy... Two years and still impossible?

    I've tried multiple methods:

    1. I've tried to create a wishbox using the 'Create New' option but there is no "Wishbox" option - the only reason I'm considering the JotForm solution is for the screenshot feature of Wishbox.

    2.Going to https://www.jotform.com/wishbox  and creating the form there doesn't give any option for SSL or HTTPS.

    I tried modifying the Javascript to use 'base        : "https://secure.jotform.com",' and base        : "https://secure.jotform.us", and am using '<script src="https://www.jotform.com/min/?g=feedback2" type="text/javascript"></script>'

    Everything appears to load up properly but, of course, after I click the "Feedback" div the following errors get thrown:

    =============

    The page at 'https://www.mysite.net/internal/applicant.cgi?id=22' was loaded over HTTPS, but displayed insecure content from 'https://www.jotform.com/images/loading-circle.gif': this content should also be loaded over HTTPS.

    Is there any solution out there that will allow this to work or is JotForm Wishbox DOA for the problem of getting feedback on SSL connections?

    Hi,

    Changing the URL in the script doesn't work since there are pages and some other scripts that are loaded from our servers when the modal window open up.

    Let me create another ticket and submit it to our developers. But still, the support team cannot guarantee if they will look into this. However, if there are updates, you should be updated on this thread.

    Thank you!

    I hope that by commenting on this thread that I might get future responses.

    My two cents: This should be a non-issue, but it's existed for quite some time now.

    The main reason I think it's not getting fixed is because it was beta code, which was why it's stored under screenshots.jotform.com instead of an official widget (like it should have been). Essentially the wishbox form is an unsupported hack, since there are no other form objects that have the screenshot capability.

    I'm almost considering if it were worthwhile to create a new form and embed the code it's using instead of relying on the jotform loader...

    Yes, you are correct all future replies on this thread will be sent to you as well.

    This is no longer an issue, as mentioned on your thread here: https://www.jotform.com/answers/511604-Wishbox-form-doesn-t-work-over-https

    If we take a look at the console and the loaded resources we can see the form fully loaded with all resources being called over HTTPS

    Wishbox is actually a different product not a 'hack' nor a widget and is definitely not unsupported. Even as not much has visually changed, our developers have been working on it just like on other parts of our systems and products.

    Please try the suggestion shown on your thread and check if it is working for you then.

    Thank you.

    The problem is that that's not all of the code that tries to load.

    It seems that the form has been damaged somehow and doesn't look anything like it should anymore.

    The code generated by jotform.com/wishbox looks like this:

    <script src="https://www.jotform.com/min/?g=feedback2" type="text/javascript"></script>

    <script type="text/javascript">

        new JotformFeedback({

            formId      : "50386886132158",

            buttonText  : "Send Feedback",

            windowTitle : "Mark up the screenshot to describe a problem or suggestion",

            base        : "http://jotform.us/",

            background  : "#F59202",

            fontColor   : "#FFFFFF",

            buttonSide  : "bottom",

            buttonAlign : "right",

            type        : false,

            width       : 280,

            height      : 420,

            instant     : true

        });

    </script>

    Was insecure, so I changed the base to the https://secure.jotform.us

    It still loads insecure resources and doesn't work.
