I have a form that I would like each section to be scored, ie so that if somebody only answers all 1s or 2s for the first section, then sections 2 & 3 will be hidden from then, and subsequently the same for section 2 it they score 1s or 2s in this section, then they cant see section 2.

Unfortunately, this feature is currently not available with JotForm. However, I do get how this could be useful, I will try to add this to our feature request list and hopefully, our developers can integrate this in the near future. You will be informed through this thread or on our blog for any available updates.

This thread is quite old and I believe this can be accomplished by using form field calculations:
You can assign calculation values to your fields, in this case I would recommend using a radio button, then add up the results with a calculation widget:
Then you would conditionally show/hide fields based on the score:
