Is there a way to force a numeric entry to be viewed as text?

The number is recorded correctly in Jotform spreadsheet.  However, I have the data sent to a Google Spreadsheet where it is interpreted as a number, and shows up as a floating point number:

    2.84171E+17

Is there a way to force a numeric entry to be viewed as text?

I see that the Submission ID in the Google spreadsheet has a "-" appended to the number forcing it to be read as text.

    Hi,

Unfortunately it appears this is an issue with Googles interpretation of the number, rather than what is being passed to it from our end.  You could try setting the validation to alphanumeric, that should pass everything validated as text rather than a number.  I am not sure if this will affect the value interpreted in the spreadsheet.  Please let us know if this does not correct the value being shown in scientific notation and we will be happy to see what else we can do.

    Thank you for using JotForm!
