How payments work for subscriptions with trial periods

When setting up a form to collect subscription payments.............lets say we set up a trial of 15 days.

Does this mean that the person will still input all their credit card info with the only difference being that their card will not be charged until 15 days later???

If so.....do they get some type of notification that their trial is almost done or is done and now their card is going to be charged?????

Yes. The person needs to input their credit card information but he'll be charged after the trial period as you set. Please see the screenshot on a sample subscription that I created to test.

Since the subscription notifications are managed by PayPal itself and he should receive a notification before the card is going to be charged.
